On par with the majority of countries around the world Ukraine, today prohibits the use of psychedelic substances. The regulatory framework is such that no use, even for clinical research, is permitted. Through our work with international partners, we aim to change it.

We want Ukraine to have all possible tools to deal with the war-inflicted mental health crisis. Psychedelic medicine is a highly effective form of therapy. It is now illegal in Ukraine. Rescheduling of psychedelics in Ukraine is needed. To lobby for this change we will create highest quality clinical data in partnership with international researchers. Studies that would generate this data are expensive and we need to fund them.

7 million Ukrainians have fled the country to find temporary shelter from the ravaging war. Availability of practitioners trained in psychedelic-assisted therapy is projected to become a rate limiting step in rollout of legal psychedelic medicine. Qualified training providers are few and far between. We have partnered with MAPS to train a cohort of Ukrainian providers who would support the patients in our clinical trials and then take their experience to Ukraine once it is possible.

Well-executed psychedelic-assisted therapy studies show that remission and even complete dissipation of symptoms of PTSD, depression, and other mental health illnesses is attainable. According to the research by MAPS. 67% of participants in the MDMA-assisted therapy group no longer had PTSD after 3 sessions, compared to 32% in the placebo with therapy group.
